County Fire Department Victim Extraction Class
February 2nd, 2008 - Laurens
Auto Salvage was proud to host this year's Laurens County Fire
Department victim extraction class. This weekend-long class helps
demonstrates to rescuers how to properly extract crash victims from
wrecked vehicles.
This hands-on
training included (among other things) how to support an unstable
vehicle, glass breaking techniques, cutting the doors & roofs of severely
damaged vehicles, and even how to spread apart the dash from the unibody
in the event the victim's legs were pinned in that area.
Rescuers
were divided into teams and practiced on multiple vehicles donated by LAS.

LAS recognizes the courageous
efforts of our local fire department, and we were honored to host this
